with the economy fast development and increasing population, some places in china are facing cute water resources shortage. the standards of drinking water quality (gb5749-85) does not meet the requirements for the safety of people's drinking water. therefore, ministry of health of prc and the standardization administration of prc issue the new compulsive standard --the standards of drinking water quality (gb5749-2006), which will be in force from 1 july 2007
